Nintendo Reveals: Why Luigi Is Green!

Shigeru Miyamoto, the honorable game designer of Nintendo during an interview at Rolling Stones magazine revealed something that will make the retro gamers feel nostalgia. "It's something that i want to share with somebody" Miyamoto said before revealing one of the secrets of Mario Bros.

"One of the problems during the designing process was that the second character had to be identical with the first one due to lack of memory. So we said that we could use the same character but at least we could color him differently!"

But there was a restriction even at the color palettes, so they were made to share the color of the turtles for the second character! 

So having the technical difficulties we said: "Well, we have those two characters, the look the same apart from the color, so they ve got to be twins! Next we decided that Luigi will be the younger brother!"

"In the end, that's the designer's basic role" Miyamoto said. "That you use an obstacle to ur advantage and you create something new out of it!" Now you know why Luigi is green!
