Sony selected Japan to proceed to presentation of the new PS Vita, the company's handheld console, just a few days after the price's reduction announcement of the first model.
It will be a more casual and easier to use model and it will come in different colors. The new PS Vita will be 20% thinner, and 15% ligther than the previous version. The OLED screen of the previous model is getting replaced with an LCD. Battery life has been increased by an hour, as well.
One more significant difference is that it has built-in storage, albeit only a single gig's worth, while Sony presented an new memory stick that allows to store data up to 64gigabyte.
This new PS Vita will be available in all six colors (some new, some old) on 10th October in Japan for 18,980 Yen (150€, 190$). Its still unclear though if and when this model will be available in the west.
