How to Change Game Boy Games' Colors on an Game Boy Advance SP Console

Hello friends. Long time no see, this time i  have a quick and fun way to enjoy ur game boy games provided you have a Game Boy Advance Sp system.

Because a gba sp actually emulates the game boy console which is much much weaker we havea few possibilities that we hadnt when we were playing game boy games on the original console. Among other features, such as, the widescreen option on the gba and gba sp, we have the multicolored screen option.

All u have to do is to insert the game boy cartridge in the gba sp console, turn it on, and when the Game Boy logo is being displayed, press a combination of the cursor buttons + A or B. Those combinations will give u each time different color variations that you can choose from according to you personal liking. Personally i prefer the more greenish one that is closest to what the original Game Boy looked like.

But remember once that logo logo screen ends, you stick with the last displayed combination color. In order to choose again you have to turn off and turn on the console again.

Here is a brief video demonstrating all the above.

Journey PS3 - No Sound FIX!!!

We are quite used to see pc games lag in kimds of ways, but we rarely see a console game bugging like Journey.

I recently bought the collector's edition for ps3 and was eager to play as soon as possible. So i insterted the dick and waited. Very soon i was troubled by the silence there was no sfx no voices no music. NOTHING. What hell i wondered, and i begun looking into the most obvious stuff like if i had muted my TV oand things like that. When i figured it was a software thing i searched it online and found out that there is a quite simple solution for this bug.

Just go to the consoles XMB im the settings and reset all of the sound settings.

It worked for me and for wuite many other players.

Enjoy

DDRAW OBJECT HAS A NON-ZERO REFERENCE COUNT - Arx Fatalis Error FIXED

Another game another obstacle! One would expect nowadays by putting old games on steam that they d spend some time to change a bit their compatibilities etc so they won't give us trouble but thats not the case. A while back i purchased through Steam the legendary Arx Fatalis and when i tried to launch it i got this error

"DDRAW OBJECT HAS A NON-ZERO REFERENCE COUNT"

Frustration hit red as you can see, but you know what i say in ravenous times like this? The internet is your friend and indeed it is. It didnt take me much to find a really simple and fast solution to that stupid problem. Just follow the steps below and it will run like a hamster on the treamill.

- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

- Copy Steam.dll

- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arx Fatalis

- Paste Steam.dll

- Launch Arx.exe (Arx application)

- Create a new desktop shortcut (the Steam shortcut doesnt work)

Now the game is yours to play and thankful it was not a waste of money. Enjoy!

Pokemon Sun & Moon: How to Delete Save Data

Another pokemon game in the latest handheld Nintendo console, 3DS, and still there is no option for multiple save games and it is driving mas nuts! Ok we got it Pokemon, now that is some kind of tradition you try to pass on there but it is so much annoying! We are not in the 1st console generation nor in 2nd.

Please have the decency to make me feel that the 50€ im paying to buy your stuff are worthy of what i am holding in my hands when i leave the counter! Dont make me push randomly together the button hoping to find the right combination it just sucks!

And now that I freaked out enough lets make it easier for you. The combination for deleting your save game is the d-pad UP + X + B . You have to press them when the intro of the game is playing and if you do it right the intro will skip and you will be asked if you want to delete all of you saved data . Select "YES" and they will wiped out. Then you will be able to start a new game. Note that there is no way to recover you deleted saved data so make sure you no longer want it.

Psychonauts: How to Changing Direction When Swinging (PC)

It may seem a weird question to the most, but u 'd be surprised if you knew how many had the same question in forums. Well the thing is that the game's "tutorial" doesnt implies the use of that button for that specific action and this is a PC port we are talking about and we have to deal with many buttons on the keyboard.

So you have to actually GUESS and press the action/use button to change direction while swinging and in that case the default action/use button is "F".

Breath of Fire III PSP - Insufficient Space (SOLVED)

Breath of Fire III on PSP always shows a weird message on startup (if there isn't a saved file already) thats says there is insufficient space on memory stick and at least requires an amount of 192KB. I don't know for sure why we see this message every single time (i think this also happens on vita as well maybe the port for the PSN, were poorly made) but i do know a simple and straightforward to overcome this and enjoy BoFIII.

Just select continue anyway and you will not be bothered anymore. You will be able to save normally and it will affect your gameplay in anyway.

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age - X-Zone Status - EXPLAINED

X-Zone is an abnormal status seen only in the remastered release of Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. Characters can get x-zoned only through Telega, a spell cast by Demon Wall in Raithwall' Tomb. It casts one character in The Void making him unable to participate in battle and be controlled.

X-zoned characters will continue be banned into the void until the party leaves that certain area where it was cast (just move to the next door/loading screen). Characters can also inflict the same effect on weaker enemies by cast Warp or by using warp motes! X-zone can't be cured by status removing spells and remedies.

Resident Evil 7 - Lounge Safe Puzzle

So here we are playing the notorious RE7 and we find ourselves in a wrecked ship (!?) in the middle of some huge marshes in New Orleans.... OOOOoooookkkk... and we have to open a safe in the lounge room . Entering the room we have the safe in front of us with a red light on. On the left wall there are 3 pictures hanging that we can rotate 360' each and on the opposite wall the are the same pictures but they are steady. So guess what, we just have to turn all 3 pictures on the left wall to match with thpictures on the right wall! Pretty easy and childish dont you think?!

"Would You Like To Quit The Game?" PSP 2004/3004 Message FIX

In order to lower the cost of the slimmer version of the console, sony change the manufacturing plans according to how PSP holds and reads the UMDs. But if you make something cheaper u expect to behave as a cheaper machine. Though 3004 model has a crispier screen and more RAM than the original, they really screwed up the disk tray.

The original PSP has a small contraption, lets call it a "cage", that holds UMDs still, from every side. The newer model has just 4 small pieces of metal shaped like an "X" in the inner side of the tray that pushes the disc towards the lazer when closes in order to be read.

Those pins of the "X" are easily bended so after a while they tend to lose their grip and to stick to the plastic side of the tray not pusing the UMD in the opposite direction.

So what i did was to push the metal pins a little back up with just my finger nail . i guess you can use whatever feels easy for you.

I can't figure anything else out to be the cause of that "error" ... that or it is a software error or that the hinges of the door are loose (especially if the door tilts a bit when you touch it but i ll make a new post for that) i dont know, It worked for me i bet u can try it, its easy and can be done in a few secs. Give me your feedaback

How To Repair Broken PSP UMDs

Broken UMDs are really a pain in the bum but the good thing is that there is a way back. A custom way to restore its playability but not exactly its original form.

So, all you will need is a broken UMD some Scotch tape and a cutter.

Steps:

1. Cut a piece of the scotch tape and stick it on the UMD as show below

2. Press it well to stick really good on the plastic (you don want to any small pieces to fall into your console)

3. With the cutters cut the excessive part of tha tape so it is covered only on the narrow side

4. Now the cut tape will keep the plastics closed and  prevent the disk from moving back and forth in the console

NOTE: This is a method i found out that it is working and i have repaired many UMDs with it but I dont take any responsibility about any damage you may cause to your UMDs or your console

NOTE#2: I change quite frequently the tape as it tends to leave a glue residue and eventually it falls off after some time so keep that in mind!

NOTE#3: I ve been working on some more permanent method to stick back the UMD casing so keep tuned!

How To Prevent PSP UMDs From Breaking

I am sure we might have experienced such a frustration when you so eager to play a legendary psp title and u take it out of the box and OH MY FOOOOKINNN GAD you only take out the half of it!

It is a sad fact that UMD cases hold the games too tight but there is a simple hack we can do to prevent it from happening. We will only need a 1) PSP UMD case and 2) a cutter.

Steps:

1) open the case and CAREFULLY take out the UMD

2)Take the cutter and little by little saw carefully the edge of each tooth saw it is a bit smaller and more blunt

and thats it . Now ur UMDs will come off the case much more easy without risking it to break from too much pressure!

Nintendo DS / DS Lite Are Region Free

Though i live in Europe, Greece, lately i bought an american version of Super Mario 64 DS and i was pleasantly surprised to discover that both of the DS and DS Lite systems are region free. I have European consoles and the american version seems to run just fine to my systems, I recorded also a video to show you. I believe that the compatibility goes backwards as well.

Silent Hill 4: The Room - Shabby Doll

Yeah yeah i know its been a while since i update this blog but and i could tell 100 hundred reasons and you could tell me 100 "i dont care" and thats fair so i ll cut to the chase!

I recently got myslef an xbox original which it came with a brand new Silent Hill 4 The Room and since it was the only one of the series that i had never played i immediately began to immerse in its paranoia! And I think that although you never really go in Silent Hill this game is one of the best of the series.

In one of The Room's worlds you find urself outiside of your apartmens and one of the key characters leaves for you a Shabby Doll and with 2 options of course, take it or leave it. So guess what i did! I took it of course but i really shouldnt!

You see this item is literally worthless, you cant use it anywhere and you just have to toss it back into your items box in order to make room for more items! But once it is picked up it activates a haunting later in the game! When the apartment beggins to fills with hauntings one more haunting will appear right above the item box and if you are careless enough you cant be hurt as well!

So DON'T EVER PICK UP THE BLOODY DOLL!
